Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Forklift & Heavy Equipment Operator
As a specialized equipment operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse. Your role focuses on high-density storage navigation and order fulfillment using specific machinery.
Equipment Operation
- Precision Handling: Operate Reach Trucks to place or retrieve pallets from high-level racking systems (up to 30+ feet).
- Order Selection: Utilize Cherry Pickers (Order Pickers) to elevate yourself to various rack levels for manual case or piece picking.
- Transport & Loading: Use Electric Pallet Jacks to transport staged goods to shipping docks and load/unload trailers efficiently.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct daily pre-operational safety checklists on all assigned equipment; report any mechanical issues or battery maintenance needs immediately.
The essential functions of this role include:
- working in a smoke free environment
