Role Overview

The Light Technician (LGHT) is responsible for the programming, safe operation, and maintenance of all lighting, show control, and haze/fog systems across various entertainment venues. This includes supporting a range of produced entertainment, events, and activities.

Qualifications

Completion of high school or equivalent required.; Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Technical Theater, Sound, Lights, or A/V preferred.; Background in stage, technical theater, and production (electrical, technical, lighting, or sound) preferred.; Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with programming and operating lighting for live performances.; Experience with regular maintenance and upkeep of conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures.; Knowledge & Skills

Experience with musical theater and show control systems preferred.; Proficient in operating lighting control consoles and related software/programs.; Working knowledge of troubleshooting and maintaining:;

Conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures; DMX-controlled scrollers; ETC Sensor dimming systems; Follow spotlights; Haze/fog systems; Lighting control consoles;

Strong teamwork skills; must work effectively with technical teams and performing artists.; Solid understanding of computer networking preferred.; Familiarity with entertainment technology software applications.; Ability to analyze and determine technical support needs.; Commitment to staying updated on advancements in the entertainment industry.;
