Job Summary

Chloeta is seeking Seasonal entry level Data Entry Specialists for our Catastrophe Command Center to support our work order production and wildfire monitoring efforts in our Risk Mitigation and Asset Protection program. This position is seasonal work from approximately May through August 2024.

Job Classification: Seasonal (this position is projected to start in May 2024 and go through August 2024)

Duty Station: Oklahoma City, OK (No remote)

Compensation

  • $16 - $19 per hour
  • FLSA Non-Exempt

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Locate wildfire activity and growth utilizing a variety of online resources.
  • Monitor wildfire perimeters and changes in conditions that impact wildfire growth potential.
  • Alert Duty Officer(s) to rapidly changing situations that affect the safety and welfare of Chloeta employees.
  • Monitors and maintains internal resources and personnel tracking to maintain constant readiness for responses.
  • Create Mission Ready Packages (work orders) for field units and follow up with progress reports as needed.
  • Assist in creating documents and plans that support the Incident Command System (ICS) process for responses.
  • Help facilitate production of information used in operational and planning meetings.
  • Complete incident reports when necessary and forward to proper authority.
  • Update a variety of internal databases.
  • Respond to client request/inquiries with required analysis criteria and recommended response efforts.
  • Compile, verify accuracy, sort information by priority, review data for deficiencies or errors, check input/outputs.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality over information, conversations, and other related matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, online forms and related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record keeping and filing.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter.
  • Fast typing ability with an eye for accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.

Education and Experience

  • Required: High school diploma and two (2) years of experience in a dynamic professional environment with at least one (1) year of that experience in data entry or relatable experience.
  • Preferred: Associate Degree with four (4) years of experience or Bachelor Degree in administrative services, telecommunications, or computer sciences.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
  • Must be able to lift at least 15lbs.
